A Family Team Meeting (FTM) is a collaborative process where birth families, Safe Babies Court Team professionals, attorneys, DCP&P, service providers, and family support networks come together to engage in child-focused problem solving. FTMs are trauma informed, with the family at the center of all decision making. This team works collaboratively to create a plan for the child’s safety and well-being, and ensure that the individual needs of the family are met. FTMs occur monthly and result in goals for meeting participants to complete in order to support the family.
